The Five Grace’s Hotel
History of the Owner
Built originally in 1860 the previous owner made a trip to New York and lost the hotel in a game of Poker to Brain Hollandale who considered this to be his luckiest day. Making his family pack up they headed out. The owner, previous owner as it is, warned Brain that Lost Haven wasn’t a safe place and that he feared his Hotel to be cursed. Scoffing at the man, he headed out anyway. Unfortunately he died, leaving the Hotel in his daughter, Rose, hands.
Rose and her companion Alex arrived in Lost Haven to find the Five Grace’s was falling apart. It was three story’s high, with twenty two bedrooms. Ten rooms on the second and third floor, plus two on the ground floor. The place was a mess and hadn’t been taken care of at all. The year was 1878 when they arrived. It took one years to get the hotel looking like it does now. Rose being task maker and worker, drew her inspiration for the place from old magazines and her imagination. Their blood, sweat and tears went into this hotel. Rebuilding the rooms, Alex spent his saved cash on new beddings and mattresses’. It was a pricey endeavor. When Rose tried to object, Alex simply told her that one had to spend money to earn it, and what else was he going to spend it on? In 1879, Alex swore they needed help and went out and hired Mark, age 29, a freed slave and his wife Jane. Occasionally they’d pick up girls who had no other option, it was either Rose hired them or they went to the whore houses. Rose always hired them and helped them get a start. Some girls ended up going over to the whore house any way, others moved away and still others stayed and married or got jobs in other states.
The Hotel
Three stories high it has ten rooms on the second and third floors. Each room has a different color scheme being as they couldn’t buy the same bed coverings for each room. Still Rose put them together nicely so that each room matched it’s self. There are two ‘king’ rooms. Rooms that are slightly larger then all the others and have extra furniture. They are right above the kitchen. Those rooms have a large bed, dresser, table, two lamps, couch and one sitting chair. The regular rooms have only the bed, chair and table.

((OOC: My really, really crappy effort of doing a lay out of the hotel. >.< I'm not very good at it.))
