The battles of Hogwarts and the Ministry on 19 December 2008 have left the wizarding world in disarray and chaos. By decree of Walter Crane, Minister of Magic, the renowned school has been shut down until further notice--for the student's and teacher's well-beings, of course. Action is seemingly being made to track down the masked attackers, but claims as to their true origins vary widely. The Minister himself is quoted to have said in his statement released late in the day of 22 December, "I know there are many questions regarding these attacks and who's responsible, but I feel I must be totally honest and admit the facts are few. I can confirm however that the rumors of a resurgent Death Eater Movement being responsible are utterly false. Most of the surviving members of that movement are secure within the walls of Azkaban or dead. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is confident given the evidence we do have that this is a new terrorist group with an expressed interest in toppling the standing order of the Wizarding world."
It seems the odds are, therefore, against those in the Order who wish to raise awareness of the resurgent Death Eaters and rally support, whereas the Death Eaters are free to take their time to plan another strike while the Ministry's aurors and investigators are busy chasing the many red herrings that can easily be cast forth. Small and outnumbered, the Order is left to struggle against an unnumbered foe, and it's only a matter of time before the wizarding world is plunged into darkness once more, one more overwhelming and suffocating than any other period of tribulation ever seen before.
But what about you? Will you believe what the Minister says? And if you don't, will you sit idly by and allow this to happen or will you find a way to do something about it?
Note: We do NOT follow the canon of the seventh book.

What would happen if every major city in the United States was wiped off the map? Cellphones, TVs, dishwashing machines, everything that uses electricity would no longer work. Flipping a switch wouldn’t make the lights come on, everything would run out of gas, and no one would have the faintest idea of what’s going on in the outside world.
Do you think people would change? The strong might become brigands, watching the roads and taking advantage of the weak. Neighbors might fight each other in their attempts to put food on the table. Guns would be found holstered on everyone’s hip, not to exercise their second amendment rights, but simply to stay alive.
Do you think that people would still hope? Upstanding citizens might try to keep order, elect officials, and fight to protect others. The hard circumstances might force people to work together. They could try to rebuild after the attack. They could make stronger communities, make stronger relationships.
What would it be like if the world ended? Visit us and find out. RevelationPlot | Rules | Join | Advertise [/blockquote]

Imagine a world in which slavery is prominent, the power held by those in charge is abused, and every moment things are staggering on the brink of war.
Imagine a world in which children are deprived an education because of their blood status or the actions of their parents, a world in which only the elite gain knowledge above status quo.
Imagine a world when the unspeakable happens to innocents on a daily basis yet they have no voice to speak up against it and are even further tortured and made examples of for speaking out.
Imagine a time when all hope of things ever getting better seems to have vanished along with those who fought for your freedom and a time when you feel powerless to do anything against so great a foe. This is the type of corruption and darkness the wizarding world of the United Kingdom has found itself thrown into over the past year. Freedom was gone faster than the blink of an eye. What Voldemort only dreamed of accomplishing has been accomplished and little seems possible to do about it. Trevor Williams and the other Death Eaters hold control over every action, and little goes on that is not reported back to him. Any possible rebellion is squashed almost as soon as it's concocted. The Imperium Guard sees to that. Hope is quickly vanishing. Yet despite it all Damien Noland hosts a safe house for all fugitives from Trevor's reign. His arms are open wide to any who truly hate what is going on and seek refuge and safety from the storm. The only problem is that it's hard to get word out, and things must be done in secret. Despite these hardships, the resistance grows daily, hoping to undermine Trevor and his regime. Nevertheless, the true question remains: how much will a people endure before they strike out? Featuring: - Friendly staff and members! - An extensive outlook on the whole of the wizarding world. Both students and adults alike are in focus. - A chance for every character to shine without any canons to overshadow them. - A quality over quantity stance. While we do have a word count, it's a mere 100 words. More is encouraged but only so much as is relative to the post. - Play as an aristocratic Death Eater, a citizen, a slave, a POW, a fugitive, a student, a werewolf, and more!

Knights and Barbarians, Shamans and Soldiers, Warriors and Priests, Ladies and Whores... Not enough? We've got more--many of them dependent on your imagination. If you're creative, a good writer, and willing to try something new--this is the site for you. So just sit back, buckle in, and Prepare for War... The Baskar call the pale-faced strangers interlopers. They call themselves Thiasans. And they're out to crush the so-called barbarian opposition once and for all in what promises to be a long and bloody war. Barbarians? Just because their warlords marry their own sisters and they worship the sun as a God? The Baskar hardly think so. No, it's the Thiasans who must be conquered, with their castles and manor-houses, their arrogant King and brutal soldiers... their cannons and iron swords... Come to think of it, the Baskar wouldn't mind getting ahold of some of those superior weapons... illegal arms traders, you say? It doesn't hurt that some of the Baskar are willing to trade a plant called datura--a potent hallucinogen--in return. Then there's the plot to kidnap and sacrifice the Thiasan King to appease the Baskari Sungod... ...a prospective Queen so ugly she's thrown the country into an uproar... ...and no heir to be seen, apart from the weak and diffident Prince Fergus, the King's younger brother. Let's face it, we're in trouble. Welcome to Thiasa. And for those who've read this much of the ad, some Site Trivia:-We just won RPG-D's Forum of the Week award--a fairly big deal, apparently. -We had 30 members within a week of opening, and we're still growing. -We encourage original characters, as long as they fit into our world. -We also have so-called 'canon' characters, mostly ones connected to characters we're already playing, and generally very broadly described--often, we won't even assign them a specific age. -We never require you to use a certain play-by. -'Thiasa' comes from a Greek word. Ten points if you get the reference. -Thiasan culture is based on Medieval Italy and France, and Baskari culture is based on the Sioux and the Aztec. Animal spirits and human sacrifice--where can you go wrong? -A bored college student made up most of the site information. It took longer to compile the information on the Baskar than it took her to write a term paper on the philosophy of consciousness. -Our cbox is unfiltered. That's right, you can curse in it. -Come on, you know you want to join now.

[glow=green,2,300]The year is 1285. The era 1285 was beautiful, considering there were worse years, the English were writing romance poems while wars were happening everywhere else. I'm no history nerd, I made this site with brief research on my back, and a nagging desire for admin help. Edward I is on the throne and conquered Wales in 1282, also married to Eleanor of Castile with 13 children and another on the way, (These facts are historically accurate, not made up). Under Edward's reign, Parliament are meeting regularly, and the Statute of the Jewry was in motion. Meaning Jews had to wear a yellow badge on their outer garments.[/glow] [glow=red,2,300] This is my new site, very new. There are lots of interesting canons up. Just looking won't hurt right? Thanks! xxx Hannah xxx[/glow] echoesofdarknes.proboards106.com/index.cgi

[/IMG] We all saw the barn burn. We saw the stagecoach robbery. We saw the capture of an outlaw. We heard the promise made. We saw the train pull in. We saw the death of the hero.
And then…
We saw the horse run.
With Ben Wade on the loose again, new troubles begin. A new gang of outlaws will join with the infamous outlaw, and new lives will be threatened.
It’s the year 1882. Only one year has gone by since the death of Dan Evans and the race to the 3:10. Being the oldest son, William Evans is running his fathers land. He made sure that Butterfield kept his promise to his father. They now have plenty of cattle, a big house, and the medicine they need for Mark.
With all new beginning, where do you find yourself? What will become of Arizona and the people there? Who will Ben Wade target next? Who will be the love interest? What will be taken? Who will survive? Who will be the hero this time?
Join us as we discover just that and much, much more.
The 3:10 To The West is waiting for you.
