Character Information
Name: Abigail Mary Cross
Rank: N/A
Occupation: Outlaw, entertainer, does a little bit of anything.
Nick Names/Aliases: Abby, The Arkansas Doll, the Vixen.
Age: 23, her birthday comes every October the third.
Appearance: This spitfire stands short at five foot four and weighs in at about 123 lbs. What she lacks in stature, she makes up for in personality. One could say she has the "little-man's disease." She long blonde hair and hazel eyes. Abby's play-by is Drew Barrymore as Lily Laronette in the movie Bad Girls.
Belongings/Equipment: Has a fair assortment of clothing and other garments that she stores at her various boarding places, which usually is the Five Graces Hotel. Has a few weapons always on her: a knife, 1873 Single Action 5.5" Nicke Platedl/Ivory grips, S&W No.3 Single Action 2nd Model 7" Barrell, Nickel Plated.
Also, owns a chestnut Quarter Horse mare named Cheyenne (pic here) and the equipment that comes with.
Any distinguishing features: Birthmark on her right thigh. Long, thin scar on her neck from an outlaw.
Place of Birth: Arkansas
Family: Ruthie May Cross (maiden Clark), mother, deceased. Gus Ezekiel Cross, father, deceased. Sarah Elizabeth Cross, sister, eighteen. Margaret Ann Shaw, 21, sister (married).
Brief Personal History: Abby grew up in a small southern city where everyone knew everyone and there wasn't a secret to be uncovered. And needless to say, when an outlaw came through town, that lucky outlaw would get away with whatever they wanted. There wasn't much of a defense system. The sheriff didn't risk putting himself on the line or those in the town when it came to a criminal.
One unfortunate day, a criminal singled out Mr. Gus Cross when he was working with some of the livestock as his young Abby played in the field close by. The criminal brought out a knife and found Abby and decided to use her as leverage for the brave Gus. He brought a knife to her neck and she screamed, alerting her father. He ran to her and the man threatened him and told him to give up anything of worth. Daddy dearest led him to their house and let him rummage through their belongings, taking whatever he wanted, and then he left, leaving the family with nothing but scars.
This drove Gus into becoming a mere thief to make a living. Abby wouldn't dare tell her father or anyone close to her at the time how much she thought the life of an outlaw would be exciting. . . how much she envied them! How she wanted that rush of adrenaline. And now her father was a thief.
Gus made friends with other thieves and they hit hot spots with each other. This led to Abby gaining a few illegal friends. The boy's daughters and sons would become Abby's future partners in crime.
As Abby grew into a teenager, they raided stores and whatnot, attempting to gain some cash but she really did it for the adrenaline. And gradually, they attacked bigger places until they landed in a bank.
And they continued their bank-robbing heists and exciting escapades for quite a while but Abby decided to take off on her own once her wanted price went up and people thought they could overtake her.
She is now in the town of Lost Haven in hopes of causing a bit of destruction.
Personality/Quirks: Abby can come across as a crazy girl sometimes but she does have a soul and is nice to some; mostly children. She doesn't appreciate prostitutes but wouldn't bat an eye if she had to do it. She does various small jobs for money. The girl holds memories dear and near and values family and friendship over anything. Brave and tough, this girl has no troubles taking care of herself. And, she has quite the spitfire attitude to make up for her shortness.
Other important notes: Has chronic depression and anxiety issues. Family has bad issues in health.
Audition Piece: (from a killer-island rp) Princess. That was the name he'd given to her. She didn't know how much she liked that. But, it was okay, she guessed. Better than Baby. She didn't feel as uncomfortable around him as she did around her brothers, but, she didn't feel exactly safe around him and his pack of cannibals, either. But, she did feel safer when around him rather than her brothers. They were vicious. She didn't know how much he knew, but she wasn't sure if she wanted him to know how easy it was to get to her.
As he approached her and his hand went around her neck, she breathed a little heavier, afraid. Due to years of abuse, this is what she expected. She expected him to try and take her shirt off or kiss her. She was afraid of it. The whole time, she didn't notice the necklace, because she was focused on the his face, seeing what he showed as emotion. Hopefully she was wrong. But, how could she be wrong? She didn't like to be wrong, but in times like this, she did.
But, he did not take her shirt off of her. He did not kiss her. She felt the necklace drop to her skin and she looked at him, surprised. Then he left and came back and spoke. "I was just trying to get away from the brothers, ya know?" But, he didn't know. He would never know what it felt like to have brothers like them. She didn't know if she was grateful for that or hateful of it. She decided that she didn't want to take her anger out on him. "I take walks, a lot." She said.
The truth was, she was trying to run away, to live in the forest or find a boat on the coastline, but nothing was around here anymore. And, William found her and asked her what she was doing. She told him that she was just walking and thought she saw a dog out and wanted to get it. He told her that Gunther would take care of it and that she didn't need to roam so far out. And, she was escorted back to the castle.
