Seeing Mr. Barton, Rose smiled broadly before she could stop herself. She'd bid good by to Mr. Vandvroot and was putting things back in order. She waved at him, as he watched the other man go up the stairs.
"Hello Mr. Barton, did the good Doctor get your nose all fixed up?" She asked.

Vandervoort followed... what was her name. Oh yes, Jenny. Cute little thing, a bit plain but then again, this wasn't New York, this wasn't Atlanta. It was some mining town in the ass end of nowhere, so it wasn't really a surprise that the women were somewhat plain and... well, they couldn't really compare to the prey, errr, women back in New York or Atlanta, could they? Though, before leaving the lobby he noticed something. Someone was watching. Not much of a surprise there either, working in George's business required to have eyes in the back of the head. Slowly, casually, he turned his head to figure out who was gawking at him. There was that girl at the counter, Rose and then... Oh what was that? A guy who looked somewhat out of place. Well dressed, yet he was lacking something. Could it be... one of those rich boys from the East who wanted to play cowboy for a day or two? Amusing. Vandervoort merely nodded once into the direction of the man as some sort of “good day”, but he made a mental note to find out who this monkey was.
After that he focused his attention back on Jenny. Nice little girl, but a bit nervous, wasn't she? After a while in this business one learned to read people and Vandervoort had had several years of training and experience. There was no reason to be nervous, at least not yet. George had to check out the opportunities first. “Lovely,” he finally said. Though, he wondered. If there was anything he needed he should just ask them? Oh wasn't that cute. It seemed that this little Jenny was really asking for it. A certain thought crossed his mind, but he shook it off. This had to wait. There were more important things to deal with first. “Thank you... Jenny. You could actually do me a favor. Who was that well dressed young gentleman in the lobby?” The monkey in a suit.

"Oh, Good as New!" Except for the cotten balls, soreness and the fact that he couldn't say that without flinching of course. Henry mumbled a little as he rubbed his nose. "but Yes everything is in order, just fine.. peachy.. Dandy in fact." he explained, ignoring Vandervoort the whole time as well. "But I think I'll be retiring to my room now.. It has been a long journey and all.." and a long day in Lost Haven to boot.

Jenny looked up from the floor her eyes wide, then back down. " That's Mr. Henry Barton. He's just got in today too. Arrived with a couple other fellas, got four rooms they did. Sadi somethin' 'bout stayin' two weeks...Oh!" Jenny stopped realizing she'd said too much. " I can't tell ya no more then that. Ms. Rose will get angry with me! Please don't tell her I told you so much already!" Jenny looked panic stricken at the thought, Ms. Rose was kind, but she liked to keep her clients privacy. This wasn't the first time Jenny had rambled too much information, and Ms. Rose wouldn't be happy if she found out. Jenny couldn't afford to loose this job.
Sensing the underlining irritation in Mr. Barton, Rose simply nodded her smile . " Of Course Mr. Barton. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask any one of the staff or myself. I apologize again on behalf of Alex. Have a good day sir." Rose smiled again, still feeling terrible about Alex punching him, but there was nothing more she could do.

Henryjust shook his head. "No need to apologize Rose, It wasn't your fault.." And he didn't blame her at all. He smiled broadly at her. "I'll see you in a bit." Afterall the Dinner was still on, and he'd always find a reason to be in her company probably. Offering a subtle wave he moved out from the lobby and up the stairs.

Henry Barton. Barton. Interesting. Somehow that name sounded familiar, but anyway... So he had just arrived with a couple of guys? Most likely an escort for the monkey. It was unlikely that this... beau... had managed to get here all by himself. Could he even ride? Maybe. Could he shoot? Hardly. That's why he had the escort. Hired guns? No, judging from his clothing he could afford real professionals, not some cowboys who were legends in their own minds. Professionals, wonderful. George smiled. “Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. That'll be our little secret.” The girl was obviously a dunce. Excellent. Vandervoort reached into his pocket and produced a nice, shiny silver dollar. “For you efforts... And... for future favors.” That was one way to put it. Usually people would be thinking in rather naughty ways, but he wasn't interested in her at all. She was far too plain and silly for his tastes. “No no, don't worry. Just keep your eyes and ears open and tell me when something unusual happens. Especially when it's connected to our dear Mr Barton.”

Jenny took the coin looking worried. "I..." She bit her lip, but nodded. "Thank you Sir!" She whispered before fleeing down stairs.
"What's wrong Jenny?"Rose asked. "You look as pale as a ghost."
"Nuthin' ma'am! Just need'n ta get back to work!"
